Retribution Therapy CD With Autographed Postcard
On April 26th, 2019 the world will be re-introduced to the hard hitting, mosh inducing sound that is Nine Shrines. This Cleveland based quintet arose on the scene in 2014 from the ashes of aggressive 00âs Ohio band pedigree: drummer Andrew Wetzel (Attack Attack!), bassist Devon Voisine and lead guitarist Andrew Baylis, (Life on Repeat), rhythm guitarist Even McKeever (Downplay), and singer Chris Parketny (Strangers to Wolves). Nine Shrines grew from their previous efforts to build something powerful. Their new album, Retribution Therapy, sees a band truly coming into their own.
Blending the most extreme elements of active-rock/metal-core with well-crafted, melodic songwriting, Nine Shrines approach their craft full-force and cut no corners. âLook at all the great bands from the late 90s early 00s era,â offers drummer Andrew Wetzel. âEverything about them was cool: the look, the sound, and the performances were all unique. We do our best to push the boundaries.â
The result is a pent-up ferocity exorcized on Retribution Therapy that feels ready to explode. âOur whole career, everything weâve been doing for the last five years, has been building to this record,â concludes Wetzel. âWe want to infect you, and we want you to celebrate the work weâve done. Iâm over the moon to get this motherf****r out.â
Retribution Therapy was produced by Dan Korneff (My Chemical Romance, I Prevail, Pierce The Veil, All that Remains, Papa Roach), and the band couldnât have been more thrilled with the finished product. âWorking with Dan was a best-case scenario,â admits Wetzel. âHeâs the âX factorâ and heâs behind us 110%. His level of excitement was so inspiring. He wanted to make this record the best it could be.â
